Italian FIMER signed agreement to acquire loss making unit with $290 mn in turnover - Fimer is no. 8 inverter manufacturer globally before consumption of this acquisition. ABB is streamlining its portfolio to reach its profitability goals. It will take a $430 mn non-operational charge in Q2/2019. 75% of this is a cash payment to Fimer for assuming warranty obligations of the business. ABB acquired PowerOne in 2013.
